The SGA Senate meeting convened at 6:30 in AU 236. Roll was taken, quorum was reached, and there were no new additions to the agenda. Minutes were approved by all present members of senate. There were no new student ideas or concerns to address.

The first presentation was done by the VP of SIB Colton Junod. He presented on the capital budget and possible student projects the school could be working on. One major topic was solar powered tables for outside of starbucks. The current plan is to purchase two and see how the community reacts to them. There were other concerns such as parking, signage, and lighting on campus. The next presentation was done by our advisor, Jesse Neader, who discussed a new way to track our outreach through the service Engage.

There were announcements for the Latinos Unidos event in the Diversity center.

The old business brought up included the ISC resolution as well as the safety committee. Safety committee reported on lighting issues on campus, specifically around Lily Hall, and the ISC did not have any updates.

There was an executive officer report regarding the fact that Sarah Barnes Diaz will be meeting with Senate on February 7th so the senators should have questions for her. There was an executive staff report regarding who doesn’t have photos yet as well as who has not done outreach and encouraging senators to continually do outreach. There was  no advisor report.
