Stephanie Onyeiwu, Second-year

Major: Strategic Communications
Area of Residence: Kappa Kappa Gamma
Campus Involvement: I am in the Jordan Jazz singing group on campus, I am also involved in the stand alone project, greek life, be the voice, and I am a student orientation guide. This year I hope to be a Butler Student Ambassador as well.
I think that being a part of this position would strengthen my leadership skills. I have had a lot of experience dealing with different types of people and I think that getting to speak and represent myself on behalf of them is a huge passion of mine.
My biggest strength would probably be the dedication and passion I have for my goals or for the things that I value the most in my life. I think it is really important to stay true to yourself and your values no matter what happens in life to test these things. Apart from this I think I could grow a little more on my organizational skills. Everyday they are improving, but they are not to where I want them to be yet. If I were elected, I would hope to strengthen the comradery greek life and houses should have with one another. I think strengthening individual bonds as well as bonds that strengthen unity are very important on our unified campus. Allowing for this would definitely help our campus grow into the place we need it to be for everyone on it.
When I was a freshmen I heard about SGA, handsome of my friends even applied to be on the board, but I wasn’t really aware of all the different branches it had within itself. I think that maybe getting the campus a little more involved on the huge impact SGA has at Butler would strengthen our peers knowledge of the difference students are making by participating in this group.
